The initiators of the project plan to choose a suitable site in co-operation
with competent authorities in the phase of preparation of the KulturFabrik
project, and then to prepare a reconstruction project according to their
aims and activities and to build up an economical and personal strategy
of reconstruction and further operation of the project.
They count with using an unused site in Bratislava that is large enough
and structured for appropriate activities. This term, by the KulturFabrik
project, is understood as an architectonic object allowing operation of
the cultural projects all-year-round. The title itself naturally associates
more with an industrial building.
For instance an unused industrial site whose owner has still not found
a suitable way of using itstill did not find a fitting way of use for
it, or does not have any means for the basic maintenance, would be suitable.
The basic building should include one or more larger and smaller rooms.
A hall suitable for expositions, a smaller room for a stage where it is
possible to organize theatre and film performances, concerts or any other
exhibitions and where there is enough space for spectators at the same
time. Other rooms of different sizes for workshops, a cafeteria and a
reading room and the other activities mentioned above.
