KulturFabrik is a social-cultural project with the aim of creating an environment for culture, environment for expositional and residential activities, a centre for theatre and film exhibitions/performances and at the same time a natural environment where people/visitors can communicate in an active way with the artist/author.
KulturFabrik is an organism of innovative elements creating a platform for the development of young personalities in the field of art as well as for development of local civic activities.
KulturFabrik wants to relate to the wide international spectrum of cultural institutions grown up from the platform of community of artists that gave a new life to empty, unused industrial halls, for example the factory for the production of ham (David Cerny's Meetfactory, Prague), the former slaughter-house complex (Kulturfabrik, Luxembourg), the ex-gasworks (WesterGasFabriek, Amsterdam) or the warehouse in japan Nagoya [Artport, Nagoya).
